چکیده
BACKGROUND: The high prevalence of cancer pain shows that a lot the patients are undertreatment. Vitamin B is one additional alternative substances studied in management. Thiamine believed to modulate mechanisms lowering Cathecol-O-Methyltransferase (COMT) enzyme level. AIM: aim study was assess correlation between Oral as an Opioid Adjuvant and COMT Enzyme Levels Cervical Cancer Patients METHODS: This research quasi-experimental with pre-test post-test control group design. this were 32 cervical who experienced pain, divided into two groups (treatment groups). treatment received morphine plus thiamine 500 mg/8 h/oral, alone. Measurement evaluation scores carried out after 72 h administration blood collection again 4 last check levels COMT. Then, data analysis being evaluated. RESULTS: From studied, there differences changes numeric rating scale (NRS) group. CONCLUSIONS: can reduce clinically NRS patients. If it confirmed by other findings, might be considered for its use pain.

متن کاملCorrelation between Cigarette Smoking and Urine Cotinine Level in Gastric Cancer Patients
Various substances in cigarette smoke including nicotine have been shown to promote/induce cancer cell proliferation. Since cotinine has a longer half life and stability in the blood, it has become the preferred biomarker for cigarette smoking exposure. Seventy-three gastric cancer patients were included in this study. The tumor tissues were stained with H and E for pathological evaluation. The...
